About Us
Piedra Data Services is located at the Palmetto Bay Village Center in South Florida. Over the past several years, we have developed and managed the State of Florida’s comprehensive alternate assessment data collection, management, and reporting system. Members of our team have also assisted the State with focused monitoring efforts, including focus group meetings, parent satisfaction surveys, and Individualized Education Program review analyses.
Recently, our work with the National Center for Special Education Accountability Monitoring focused on survey design, database development, and data processing for their early intervention and special education surveys.

Christopher Sarno (CEO) has responsibility for all areas of application development, statistical data analysis, testing & quality assurance, and reporting functions. He has extensive experience managing government-funded research grants; developing research methods; and designing, developing and implementing front and back-end software applications. Prior to Piedra's inception, Mr. Sarno worked as a senior research analyst at the University of Miami and research fellow for the Institute for Criminal Policy Research (ICPR) in London, England. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of London; a master's degree in research methods from South Bank University, London; and is a Sun Certified Java Programmer. Christopher has published government reports, book chapters and journal articles.

Adalis Sanchez (President) is responsible for overall data collection solutions, which include design of scannable forms, database modeling & programming, SQL server administration, and IT project management.

Adalis Sanchez (President) is responsible for overall data collection solutions, which include design of scannable forms, database modeling & programming, SQL server administration, and IT project management. Previously, Ms. Sanchez served as senior research analyst at the University of Miami's School of Education. She has also worked as consultant to the National Center for Special Education Accountability Monitoring and the Florida Department of Education, assistant director of admissions for the University of South Florida, and project manager for Chancellor Academies. Adalis holds degrees from Columbia University (B.A., Psychology) and from the University of Miami (M.S., Computer Information Systems).
